Size - Does it really matter?

Why Breast Size Doesn’t Matter — Storage Capacity Does

One of the biggest myths in lactation is that breast size affects milk supply.
Truth….It doesn’t.

What actually matters is something called breast storage capacity — the amount of milk your breasts can hold between feedings or pump sessions.

Some bodies hold smaller amounts and need to feed or pump more often.
Others hold larger amounts and can go longer between sessions.

Both are normal.
Both make plenty of milk.
Both can exclusively feed a baby.

Here’s what to remember:
💛 Small breasts can have a large storage capacity
💛 Large breasts can have a small capacity
💛 Storage capacity has nothing to do with true supply
💛 You cannot change it — it’s simply how your body is built

Understanding your own capacity helps you make feeding or pumping plans that work for you — not someone else’s routine.
